Model Railway Weekend

Join us to see a variety of layouts from model railway groups across the area, focusing on North East railways. There will also be a miniature live stream and models of our locomotives and rolling stock. 

Come along and see our very own model railway that recreates our line.

On Saturday 26 July, there'll be brake van rides hauled by diesel locomotive 03078 departing at: 10.30am, 11.30am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. 

On Sunday 27 July, there'll be a mix of passenger and demonstration freight trains. Passenger train times will be 11.30am, 12.30pm and 3pm.

Tickets will be sold by the guard on the train.

11am - 4pm, heritage train rides also running alongside demonstration freight trains.

Please note, on this weekend, there is a museum entry charge of £5 for adults and £3 for children.
